Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Wow!!! That is an amazing sky, and you captured it perfectly, Betty!!! This is fantastic!!! :)))fv

Betty LaRue replied:

Thank you, Laurie! I saw it from my house, but couldn't get a decent shot. I drove about 3 1/2 miles to the lake and got the shot I wanted.

This is beautiful, Betty! vf. Frequently beautiful skies also mean frequent deadly storms. You Oklahomans must be an especially brave bunch!

Betty LaRue replied:

Thank you, Byron! Later in the night we did have a storm and high winds. This one shown here skirted around us.

Artist's Description

A storm closes in on Overholser Lake in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City area and surrounding towns have suffered many severe storms and tornadoes in the month of May, 2013.
When the sky became threatening again on Father's Day, I jumped in the car and drove to Overholser lake about 10 minutes from my house. I captured the beauty and majesty of this scene with my new little Sony RX100. A camera small enough to fit in a pocket, yet packing a powerful 20mp. This image was shot in RAW and developed in LR4 and CS6. I was fortunate to capture some egrets quickly escaping the storm. Oklahoma is the land of weather and sometimes incredible beauty to go along with the destruction.

About Betty LaRue

Betty LaRue

I have been involved in creative works for years. Watercolors, oils, jewelry creation, and writing. Some years ago, after undergoing treatment for breast cancer, I abandoned my partly written novel and bought my first serious camera, a Nikon, believing life is too short not to do something that gives me pleasure. Although writing was stimulating and fun, I longed to do something that got me out of the house and into nature. Within months, I abandoned film and went to a Nikon digital camera. Recently, I went to a new system with Fuji. I now shoot an X-T2. My love for the creative process, nature and the animals that live in nature influences my work, although I have branched out in many areas of photography besides...
