About Betty LaRue
I have been involved in creative works for years. Watercolors, oils, jewelry creation, and writing. Some years ago, after undergoing treatment for breast cancer, I abandoned my partly written novel and bought my first serious camera, a Nikon, believing life is too short not to do something that gives me pleasure. Although writing was stimulating and fun, I longed to do something that got me out of the house and into nature. Within months, I abandoned film and went to a Nikon digital camera. My love for the creative process, nature and the animals that live in nature influences my work, although I have branched out in many areas of photography besides...

What beautiful shot of these pretty birds, Betty!
Betty LaRue replied:
Thank you, Lynda and Don. I've only had the opportunity to shoot these birds 3 times, but only this shoot was successful, and in my own front yard!!
Betty LaRue
Thank you, Iain. These birds are so beautiful it's hard to take a bad shot of them.
Sue Melvin
Nice capture of the cedar waxwings, Betty! Looks like they have a feast!
Betty LaRue replied:
Sue, your comments mean a lot. These birds and some Robins stripped that tree in about 45 minutes.

Thanks, Joyce, so glad you like it. You should have seen me shake the day I came home to see them in my tree! I could barely hold the camera!
