Description
The old man comes out to a corner of pastureland every week to visit with his old red friend. His grandson keeps the grass short, moves the tractor around from time to time, and dusts the old Farmall before bringing his Grampa for his weekly visit. But Grampa insists on setting up the flags himself, in rememberence of his service during WW2.
Then he climbs aboard, wind in his face, joints stiff and complaining. He settles with a groan into the seat, grips the wheel and sighs. In happy contemplation, he dreams of when he used to work the land. He and the Farmall are one.

This is a very emotive work that is also excellent from the standpoint of manipulation. Well done. Congrats. v/f

My grandfather had a tractor similar to this and if the driver had on striped overalls, I would swear it was him. Love this so very much! V/F
Betty LaRue replied:
Emily, that is so cool! I think this image can touch a lot of people whose grandfathers farmed the land! Thank you! No striped overalls, but a bleached spot on the jeans! Don't ya love the dirty old leather gloves?

Wonderful! I can imagine this having pride of place in a large number of houses throughout the USA!
